Description

The face-to-face training course on âFifth Generation (5G) Technology: State-of-the-Art, Opportunities and Challengesâ is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 15-17 October 2019. This training is organised jointly by the International Telecommunication Union and the Wireless Communication Centre, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as part of the Wireless and Fixed Broadband programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific. The training will be delivered in English.

This course aims to equip the participants with a multi-dimensional view of the 5G Technology, from the perspective of technology, standard, regulation, policy, commercial, economy, social and environment. The course will equip the participants with fundamental understanding of the key requirements, key capabilities and usage scenarios of 5G and the key innovations behind it. The course will further guide the participants to identify various opportunities offered by 5G and the corresponding issues and challenges for 5G deployment. This training is targeted at executives, managers, officials, engineers, employees from policy makers, regulators, government organisation, telecom operators, vertical industries, telecom investment companies, academia who are dealing with the planning, developing, and implementing 5G networks. Other institutions and individuals dedicated in building their capacity related to 5G Technology are also welcome to participate. Registration should be made online at the aforementioned link no later than 30th September 2019. Payment details are specified in the course outline.
