#1 Become an ITU Academy Training Centre

Requirements 

Centres must have: 

  • Track record in the delivery of high-quality executive training to policy makers and government officials globally and at scale
  • Ability to deliver at least 2 courses per year through the ITU Academy e-learning platform
  • Commitment to the programme’s Operational Guidelines (contain key provisions regarding course planning, business model, certifications, quality assurance and performance assessment)

  • Co-branding and certification of courses
  • Access to potential funding opportunities for training delivery

  • Engagement with ITU’s experts, partners and other participating Centres 

#2 Joint delivery of training courses and masterclasses on specific topics through the ITU Academy

Requirements 

Partners must have:  

  • Ready-to-deliver training content, instructors and experts
  • Training parameters:
  • Aligned to ITU’s mandate
  • Relevant to the ITU target audience
  • No duplication of existing ITU Academy catalogue courses
  • Quality assurance evidence (impact measurement report, evaluation data)
  • Offered free of charge
  • Minimum commitment: 3 courses 

Current list of topics includes:

  • AI, blockchain,
  • big data for ICT statistics,
  • space and satellite,
  • ICTs and environment,
  • smart cities,
  • emergency telecom,
  • e-commerce,
  • e-health,
  • e-agriculture, and
  • digital financial services. 

#3 Provide funding for courses and/or participants

Make a commitment e.g. to design, implement or fund digital skills development programmes and information-sharing for young people; strengthen the capacity of education and training providers; or embed digital skills training in apprenticeship schemes across sectors and industries.
