#1 Become an ITU Digital Transformation Centre

Requirements 

Centres must have: 

  • Government mandate or endorsement to develop digital skills for communities;
  • Proven experience in delivering digital literacy training for communities;
  • Physical infrastructure, equipment facilities and connectivity to deliver training;
  • Financial and human resources allocated to the delivery of training at basic and intermediate level;
  • Networks of centres and partnerships at community/local level; and
  • Commitment to the programme’s Operational Guidelines (contains key provisions regarding application and selection process of DTCs, the DTC operations, performance evaluation, and overall management of the programme).

Benefits:  

  • Free access to training materials developed by ITU, Cisco, HP, and other partners at the global, regional and national levels;
  • Access to train-the-trainer programmes under the DTC Initiative;
  • Networking opportunities through DTCs worldwide;
  • Use of ITU, Cisco, and DTCI partners' branding for promotion and marketing of DTC courses;
  • Authorization to award internationally recognized certifications to local citizens, and;
  • Increased visibility which can result in access to additional resources that will allow the DTCs to scale their activities.

#2 Become a DTC Initiative partner

Contributions

  • Support the implementation of the programme through financial contribution;
  • Provide in-kind contributions, e.g. training material, facilities and logistics for training delivery, at no cost to the ITU/DTCs; or
  • Infrastructure/IT equipment to support the centres at no cost.

  • Recognition of the partner as part of the global DTC Initiative;
  • Promotion and branding;
  • Outreach to citizens in underserved communities through the local DTC network; and
  • ITU standardized processes and procedures for assessment, monitoring, evaluation and risk management.
