Why This Matters
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated global digitalization, creating an urgent need for human capacities and skills that support inclusive digital transformation while respecting human rights and bridging the digital divide.
Digital transformation is multifaceted, encompassing technical, economic, social, environmental, legal, and regulatory dimensions. Policymakers need comprehensive knowledge across all these areas to develop effective national strategies and programs.
Our Approach
This project delivers targeted training interventions on foundational digital transformation topics, specifically designed for:
- Policy makers across multiple sectors
- Government officials in participating countries
- Decision-makers shaping the digital future
Impact
By enhancing knowledge and skills for informed decision-making in the digital era, this project supports human-centric digital transformation on a global scale. The initiative aims to train at least 5,000 professionals globally through ITU Academy by the end of the project.
