The face-to-face training on âICT Application relating to Smart Cityâ will be held in Guangzhou, China from 21-24 September, 2019. This face-to-face training is organized jointly by the International Telecommunication Union and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology as part of the ICT Application programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific region. The training will be delivered in English.

The training course is designed to enhance strategic understanding of participants on smart city development trends. The training will enable participants to build knowledge about important ICT technology and application of smart city, thereby reducing the standardization gap and enhancing the human resource and infrastructure capacity. This training is targeted at ICT professional managers and engineers interested in learning ICT application in smart city. It is also targeted at ICT decision makers, managers, technical work for consumers, suppliers and operators. It is also of interest to anyone seeking to understand and exploit the benefits of Smart City and its related ICT application scenarios and directions. Basic knowledge of ICT is required.

Registration for the training should be made by completing the registration form (Annex 3) and online (Annex 1) at the aforementioned link no later than 18 August 2019.

The training course is offered free of charge.
