Description

The workshop aims to build a comprehensive understanding of international best practices in digital government and their implementation in the Maldives.  It introduce a Whole-of-Government approach to digital transformation, highlighting the development of government enterprise architecture and the benefits of a building blocks approach.  The goal isimprove participants' knowledge of relevant case studies related to the digital government technical framework and the challenges encountered during its implementation, and enhance participants' ability to understand and apply the W-o-G approach, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) approach with GovStack, and enterprise architecture development focused on providing citizen-centric digital government services. 

This training mainly targets the digital government team of NCIT and the digital transformation officers from other government departments and agencies of Maldives. Day 1 morning will cover an overview of the workshop for senior executives, while the afternoon of Day 1 and Day 2 will focus on the implementation aspects of GovStack. 

Qualifications or experience needed to participate in this training course: 

  • Knowledge of digital government and digital services 

Selection criteria:  

  • Applicants should be working in the area of digital transformation in the Maldives 

Number of available places for the cohort: 40 

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:  

  • apply international best practices on digital government technical framework to the digital government initiatives in Maldives.  
  • Apply the Whole-of-Government approach leveraging on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), GovStack and enterprise architecture to develop citizen-centric digital government services 

 

The training will be based on face to face lectures by experts from ITU and NCIT, working group exercises based on use cases, and discussions.
