This training targeted at Ministries, Regulators, Digital Financial Service players from businesses, government agencies, non-profit groups, academia that are interested in building their capacity in emerging technologies and Enterprise Architecture.  

Participants who are engaged in, or planning to engage in, the application and integration of emerging technologies in their respective fields will benefit significantly from this training. Participants with a basic understanding of Digital Transformation concepts and emerging technology such as Distributed Ledger Technologies (Blockchain), Artificial Intelligence, and whole-of-government approaches will be advantageous, though not mandatory. 

Participants are expected to engage actively in group discussions and assignments, as the course methodology is designed to be interactive, involving quizzes, group assignments, and activities. Participants must also be able to attend the full duration of the course. 

This training will be conducted in in English, as this is the language of instruction for the course. 

Please note that each application will be reviewed on an individual basis, and the selection will be made based on the above criteria and the potential benefit to the applicant's organization or sector.  

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:  

  • Describe the trends and the transformative role of emerging technologies particularly focusing on sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and digital trade) and how it will accelerate resilient digital transformation at the national level; 

  • Identify modalities for the deployment of emerging technologies particularly focusing on sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and digital trade including case studies from China and Thailand; 

  • Define the concepts of emerging technologies (especially DLT and AI) that are discussed and developed within ITU Study Groups and Focus Groups; 

  • Explain the concepts of the whole-of-government approach, Govstack and Enterprise Architecture framework and the application of emerging technologies and the various ICT Building Blocks to accelerate resilient and affordable digital transformation; and 

  • Discuss government approaches and application of these technologies using ICT building blocks, identified in the GovStack framework, for more affordable Digital government services  

The training will take place in a face-to-face, instructor-led format, with several tutors connecting remotely in order to deliver their lecture and participate in the Q&A sessions. The training will also include site visit to enhance participants learning experience. 

The training is structured as follows: 

Part One (2 Days) 

  • Overview and emerging technologies trend in the Digital Identity, healthcare, financial and trade services sector  

  • Overview of the trends and application of Distributed Ledger Technology in targeted sectors 

  • Overview of the trends and application of Artificial Intelligence in targeted sectors 

  • Site visit to Emerging Technology Exhibition Hall at Huawei Thailand Office 

 

Part Two (2 days) 

  • Introduction to whole-of-government approach using Enterprise Architecture  

  • GovStack framework and ICT Building Blocks 

  • Application of emerging technologies driving the ICT Building Blocks  

  • Quizzes and Group Assignment  

A total score higher than 75% is required to obtain the ITU certificate.

Session 6: Huawei Emerging Technologies Exhibition Visit  

 

This session involves a visit to Huawei's Emerging Technology Exhibition Hall. Participants will be introduced to both global and Thai technology trends that align with the course's design and focus areas. The exhibition will showcase the latest advancements in 5G, rural networks, cloud technologies, and ICT applications in industries such as smart healthcare, education, and transportation.
