Description

The face-to-face training course on âSmart Sustainable Cities driven by Data, Network, AI Technologiesâ is scheduled to be held in Jeju, Republic of Korea from 15-18 July 2019. This training is organized jointly by the International Telecommunication Union and National Information Society Agency (NIA), in partnership with the World Bank and the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO), as part of the ICT Application programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific. The training will be delivered in English.

The training course is designed to develop an understanding of the policy-making process to build smart sustainable cities, the application of frontier technologies, introducing the best practices and learning from the Republic of Korea, and share the challenges as well as lessons learnt. This training is targeted at central and regional governmental officials who are in charge of smart city or interested in application of frontier technologies such as big data, network, and Artificial Intelligence in smart city application. Registration should be made online at the aforementioned link no later than 5 June 2019. The training is offered free of charge with contributions from NIA and partners.

Registration information

Unless specified otherwise, all ITU Academy training courses are open to all interested professionals, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, economic status and other diverse backgrounds. We strongly encourage registrations from female participants, and participants from developing countries. This includes least developed countries, small island developing states and landlocked developing countries.
