The Digital Innovation Ecosystem Training (DIET) is a six-session curriculum designed to empower policy-makers, academics, innovators and ecosystem-builders who wish to build thriving entrepreneurial communities that can navigate technological revolutions and create competitive ICT industries.
This boot camp, which uses a joint Smart Africa Digital Academy and Digital Innovation Ecosystem ITU Academy curriculum, draws on toolkits, ecosystem assessments and roadmaps, forums and good practice research.
Building on a knowledge base developed by ITU and its partners, the boot camp is best for those wishing to become experts in transforming their ICT ecosystems into innovative and entrepreneurial powerhouses, and/or those who have a project idea about nurturing entrepreneurship or digital innovations, but need to conceptualize it and make it bankable.
Using a practical and highly participative approach, this training will deliver a combination of expert-led online learning, webinars and virtual co-creation sessions. The curriculum introduces key terminologies, concepts, frameworks and tools to assess a country's innovation capacity through practical information, and helps participants develop a bankable project or initiative. Participants will learn to assess their ecosystems' performance, and build remarkable projects using a step-by-step approach; providing an opportunity for national innovation training.
