The Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), the DTC in Ghana, delivered a 10-day digital skills training programme for women SME owners in the Oti Region from 3 to 14 November 2025.
From 20 to 31 October 2025, the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT), the DTC in Uganda, implemented a digital skills training programme for visually impaired citizens, as part of its activities under the DTC Initiative.
Two beneficiaries of the Digital Transformation Centres (DTC) Initiative took center stage at the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), held in Baku in November 2025, sharing powerful personal stories as Telecommunication Development Bureau BDT4Impact advocates.
Under the Project “Boosting Digital Skills through Digital Transformation Centres (DTCs)” co-funded by ITU and the Government of Norway, ITU supported several DTCs to implement outreach activities to promote their work under the Initiative at the national and/or local level within their target communities.
From 23 to 27 February 2026, the DTC in Nigeria conducted a 5-day training to introduce its instructors to some of the core content and courses available under the DTC Initiative.
In collaboration with ST Microelectronics Foundation (ST Foundation), ITU organized a virtual train-the-trainer programme on the ST Foundation course "Introduction to Computer Basics (ICB)" from 5 to 11 March 2026.
