The face-to-face training course on âHuman Exposure to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fieldsâ will be held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia from 3-5 December 2019. This training is organised jointly by the International Telecommunication Union and the Wireless Communication Centre, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as part of the Wireless and Fixed Broadband programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific. The training will be delivered in English.

The online training course on âNext Generation Broadband Network: Design, Implementation & Applicationsâ for the Asia-Pacific Region to be conducted from 25 November â 20 December 2019. This course is organized jointly by the International Telecommunication Union and the Advanced Level Telecom Training Centre as ITU Centres of Excellence in priority area of Wireless and Fixed Broadband for Asia-Pacific region.
This training aims to introduce participants to broadband access technologies, in particular with the experience of modern wired and wireless broadband access network engineering, as well as new possibilities for the development of wireless broadband access systems, the issues of electromagnetic compatibility when planning new communication networks, broadband network security, 5G and IoT architecture and solutions. The training will allow participants to personally contribute to the implementation and development of optical broadband access in the future
This training aims at providing the participants with extensive insights of using the Geographic information System âGISâ in environmental management and resources protectionâ. The main purpose of this training is to: â¢ Comprehend fundamental concepts and practices of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) â¢ Apply basic GIS functionalities. â¢ Demonstrate organizational skills in file and database management. â¢ Apply GIS analysis to address geospatial problems and/or research. â¢ Give examples of interdisciplinary applications of Geospatial Information in relation with Environment.
This course will focus on Wireless and Mobile Ultra Broadband Internet â LTE-A Pro, WLAN and 5G NR, from technology, regulation and business aspects. It will cover mobile broadband technologies, including mobile and Internet convergence, ITUâs role in mobile broadband Internet, 4G LTE, LTE-A (4.5G), LTE-A Pro (4.9G), mobile Internet of Things (IoT) architectures, QoS in 4G/4.5G/4.9G mobile networks, ITU spectrum management, as well as business and regulation aspects of mobile broadband.
