This course is designed to encompass the theory, the technology and field engineering aspects of fiber optic planning design and deployment by adopting new developments in the industry. This course offers students a thorough understanding of the basic physics associated with fiber systems alongside their respective a pplications â encompassing optical transmitters/receivers, multiplexing and transmission characteristics. The content and level of presentation is suitable for graduate students and, or final year undergraduates.
This course is by invitation only! The ITU Training of Trainers for Educators on Child Online Protection (COP) aims to give participants a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of an educator in relation to training methods and meeting the needs of learners.
Cyber security exercises are a very effective way of learning the practical aspects of information security. But designing such exercises is not an easy task. This course provides a number of steps and guidelines that should be followed when designing a cyber exercise. The steps include: defining the objectives, choosing an approach, designing network topology, creating a scenario, establishing a set of rules, choosing appropriate metrics and learning lessons. This 3 days training course examines the key elements required to develop Cyber Disaster Response Simulation exercises.
This training course empowers start-up and scale-up women entrepreneurs by developing green digital entrepreneurship knowledge and skills in order to increase their economic empowerment. The course is designed to guide participants through the concepts and benefits of green business, green and circular economy and sus tainability concepts. It also explores digital green concepts, how to green supply chains and green finance. This course has been made possible with the support of the Women's Entrepreneurship Accelerator (WEA).
By invitation only The DSB training course provides an in-depth technical review of the DAB+ and DRM30/DRM+ digital sound broadcasting standards. The course covers the formation of multiplexed audio streams with associated data and data services, the carriage of the multiplex and associated signalling, the broadcast transmission stream, and RF transmission modes and details. An overview of receiver products, regulatory aspects and transmission planning are also included. The course will not cover other DSB standards such as HD or ISDB.
eMCM-2 Project Management for ICT
The training aims to strengthen the capacity of countries to produce ICT indicators and statistics according to international standards and methodologies. It is intended to assist national statistical offices in collecting and compiling ICT statistics on the access and use to ICTs by households and individuals, by providing guidance on the collection, processing, evaluation and dissemination of ICT household statistics.
This course is aimed at providing guidance for developing table top simulation exercises which will help to test if NETPs and other national strategies for disaster preparedness and response are ready to be used when disasters strike.
