The main purpose of this meeting was to validate and endorse the list of recommended Centres of Excellence for the new 2015-2018 Cycle. The GCBI took into consideration all factors related to the selection and provided their recommendations regarding the final list of CoEs to be submitted to the Director, BDT.

All regions were represented at the meeting. The Americas region was represented by a nominated official from CITEL who participated in the meeting remotely. The ITU Human Capacity Building regional coordinators participated in the meeting remotely.
