This course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to implement a management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC) based on ISO 37101, an international standard that aims at helping communities of all types and sizes become more sustainable and resilient.
In today's advanced Digital era, smart city can become an intelligent society by utilizing advances in emerging technologies. Specifically, the rapid adoption of blockchain technology has led a paradigm shift to a new digital smart city ecosystem. A broad spectrum of blockchain applications promises solutions for problems in areas ranging from risk management and financial services to cryptocurrency, and from the Internet of Things (IoT) to public and social services.
Smart and sustainable cities to support sustainable development goals is a priority agenda for governments. This course aims to introduce participants to the concept and pillars of the Internet of Things taking into account the work of ITU in the areas of the smart sustainable city. Participants will be introduced to concepts, goals, and frameworks to key aspects and KPIs of IoT and related technology solutions and services such as Big Data and Blockchain area and some use cases for the smart sustainable city (SSC).
