Today, most jobs require some level of digital skills. The skills required by these jobs vary from basic digital skills to advanced level skills. Some of the skills required to perform these jobs are not yet available in the labour market. Therefore, shortage of digital skills is a challenge that the world is currently facing.
Launched by partners of the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth, and led by ITU and ILO, the Digital Skills Campaign recognizes that investing in youth by developing their digital skills is a win-win strategy: The campaign addresses the skills gap by encouraging partners to make commitments to invest in digital skills development for young people.
