4G has been a driver to transform the world into a single global telecommunication industry with lots of improvements in connectivity, security and data management. As the demand got higher for speed, ultralow latency and massive number of device connections, a new generation technology was required to meet all the demands. The key features and importance of 5G New Radio (NR) system is set in International Mobile Telecommunication-2020 (IMT-2020) Standards, recommended by International Telecommunication Union-Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) in 2015.
Network forensics is a subset of digital forensics that deals with network attacks and their investigation. In the era of network attacks and malware threats, it's now more important than ever to have the skills required to investigate network attacks and vulnerabilities. Network Forensics starts with the core concepts like coding, networking, forensics tools, and methodologies for forensic investigations. We will also explore the tools used for network forensics, followed by understanding how to apply those tools to a PCAP file and write the accompanying report.
This course will focus on technical, business and regulatory aspects of QoS for Fixed and Mobile Networks. It includes QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience) fundamentals by ITU, as well as traffic and QoS management in Internet and IP networks. Further, it includes QoS for fixed ultra-broadband access, including QoS solutions in metallic and optical networks, carrier grade Ethernet QoS, as well as end-to-end QoS. The course also covers QoS for mobile ultra-broadband access, including 4G and 5G mobile technologies and their QoS capabilities and approaches.
This course will help the participants to know about the general development of 5G industry globally and in China from the aspects of market, technology evolution, application scenarios etc.; the key technologies and standards progress of 5G; the application status of 5G in different vertical sectors of economy; testing technologies and it's standardization and practices in the area of 5G, such as base station, massive MIMNO and RF-OTA, network performance, etc. .
In 5G non-standalone, emphasis is on a gradual roadmap from 4G to 5G mobile network. This course focuses on path migration of 2G, 3G to 5G mobile networks, considering timelines and technology used in each generation of mobile communication. The full description of the mobile networks as listed on the course title may not be covered in detail.
The SMTP is designed for individuals within ICT and telecommunications sectors who wish to enhance their knowledge and competence in the area of spectrum management. This includes engineers and managers working in telecommunications regulatory authorities, ICT service providers and other ICT stakeholders. Policy makers in ministries and government departments responsible for ICTs will also benefit from this programme. This module aims to provide participants with a comprehensive view of some of the most dynamically developing business areas of radi ocommunications.
