Competition in mobile telecommunications is multifaceted and dynamic. Regulatory authorities must be alert to rapid technological changes that impact infrastructure competition. This course provides a foundation for understanding the rules of competition and the regulatory powers that apply to the telecommunications sector, taking into account the wider competitive landscape that now includes Over-The-Top players. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The transition of the terrestrial television broadcasting from the analogue to the digital is a government policy, aims at gaining spectrum efficiency, which will bring consumer benefits by giving the consumers wider choice in television channels and services; industry benefits by introducing new revenue streams and business models; and government benefits by releasing the DIGITAL DIVIDEND at market value and get money for the public expenditure.
This course will focus on technical, business and regulatory aspects of the 5G mobile networks. It include will 4G mobile technology transition toward the 5G, considering the access and core networks as well as end-user services. Mobile broadband Internet after 4G will continue with the next generation, 5G, so the course will cover also IPv6 and its impact on 5G mobile networks. Further, it will include M2M (Machine-to-Machine) and mobile Internet of Things (IoT) services are foreseen types in future 5G mobile environments, as well as mobile cloud computing implementations.
The face-to-face training course on âTraffic engineering and advanced wireless network planningâ will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 30 September to 3 October, 2019. This training is organized jointly by the International Telecommunication Union, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (Thailand) and the Wireless Communication Centre, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as part of the Wireless and Fixed Broadband programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific. The training will be delivered in English.

This face-to-face training is organized jointly by the International Telecommunication Union and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology as part of the Conformity and Interoperability programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific region. The training will be delivered in English.
The objective of this training is to discuss the concepts of cloud computing (the pros and cons), Cloud Computing services and its models, the structure of the infrastructure of cloud computing and the security of cloud computing. In addition, the training will enable participants to understand cloud computing technologies such as Micro-Services and Configuration Management and their impact on business, IT and data management, to be aware of the current and new trends and challenges in cloud computing and to have up to date hands-on experience in cloud technologies.
